Schutter Farms is located in the picturesque Columbia Valley, overlooking Lake Windermere. In this setting, we grow hand-selected grains perfectly suited to the distilling process – and we can supply those grains to distilleries around BC and neighbouring provinces.

We specialize in grain, and grow our crops on our 135 acre farm using as much environmentally friendly techniques as possible to product a high-quality low-impact product.

History

Egbert and Rosa started Schutter Farms in 2017 with the purchase of the Ruault Ranch. Egbert Schutter is a life-long farmer, boasting over 35 years of experience growing crops like canola, sugar beets, potatoes, hemp, flax and more. Searching for excitement and a change of pace, the Schutter family, and dog Coco, found the Columbia Valley and decided to set down roots.

The small farm life in idyllic Invermere, BC suited the Schutter family perfectly. Satisfying the need to be more hands-on with a smaller scale farm, the Schutter’s are able to enjoy the exciting journey of entrepreneurship and pursue a new and interesting industry at the same time.
